How does PlazZza work?

Right now, PlazZza is accessible to all Mobistar and Proximus customers. Base customers will be able to use it very soon.

To make your WAP site accessible to all the customers equipped with a WAP- or GPRS-compatible handset, you must first contact one of the intermediaries we have selected (see list). This facilitator will act on your behalf and sort out all the administrative and technical formalities with each of the three Belgian mobile operators. He will thus act as a mobile marketing adviser. He will invite you to sign an indexing contract with each of the operators offering the PlazZza service: Mobistar, Proximus and Base.

Once your site is indexed, users can access your service through the PlazZza search engine, which they can consult either through their operator’s portal or by sending an SMS to 8080.

What does my customer have to do to find my service on PlazZza?

To find a service through PlazZza, the customer has two possibilities:

1. He connects to his mobile operator’s WAP portal (Orange World, Vodafone live!) and clicks on the PlazZza link to go to the search engine’s homepage. He types in the name of a brand (Samsung, for example), a generic keyword (logo, people, etc.) or a specific keyword for the service he wants to find. He can also make an alphabetical search, or search by categories.

From the mobile operator’s portal, the user can thus access the services in three clicks:

2. He sends an SMS with a keyword or the name of the service to 8080 (this SMS is free). He will immediately receive an SMS containing a clickable link that gives him direct access to the homepage of the searched site or a page proposing all of the sites relating to the keyword. To access adult-only sites, he must send his request by SMS to 7890 (this SMS is also free).
