Glossary
8080: short number allowing direct access to Mobile Internet sites indexed in PlazZza. You send a free SMS to 8080 with the keyword for the service desired (for example “Samsung”) or a generic keyword (for example, “logo”). In return, you receive an SMS including a clickable link which permits you to directly access the desired site or a complete list of sites corresponding to the keyword sent.
7890: short number allowing direct access to Mobile Internet sites indexed in PlazZza, and which are reserved exclusively for adults.
Category: with Proximus (but not Mobistar) PlazZza services can be classified by category (ringtones, games, music, images, news & weather, sport, love, fun, practical info, finance and community).
Hitcode: a HITCODE is a keyword communicated by a merchant and used only for that one service. It allows you to immediately enter the advertiser’s WAP site. You either type the HITCODE into the search field on the PlazZza homepage and you are directly taken to the service in question; or you send a free SMS to 8080 (or 7890 for adult content sites) with the HITCODE. In this case, you will receive a free return message with the direct link to the searched service.
Keyword: to search for content using keywords, use generic keywords such as “music”, “games”, “cinema”, “food” or “sport”. Avoid too-specific words such as artist’s names or brands. These will limit your results too much.
Mobile Internet: this concept comprises all of the content and functions available in relation to mobile sites. You can access these sites though WAP from any place, at any time.
WAP Push SMS: a message containing a clickable link allowing you to directly access a WAP site or to download content (logos, ringtones, etc.). Usually, all you need to do is follow the directions on your mobile phone to activate the link.
WAP: WAP is a technology that allows you to access the Internet from your mobile telephone. The parameters are not necessarily installed by default on your handset: sometimes you need to activate them through your mobile operator.
This service may be debited from your general communication package or may require a specific bundle.
